Niaouli oil has a complex and versatile aroma, which harmonizes the emotions, activates the intellect, and prepares for hard mental tasks. The first instantaneous camphor tone transforms to a lightly floral sweet aroma with a woody undertone. Chemical composition and other properties of niaouli oil are similar to eucalyptus and cajuput oils3:
Niaouli have analgetic, antirheumatic, antiseptic, bactericide, decongestant, properties, this is a stimulant of nervous system, etc
USE:
Oil is used in the similar ways to eucalyptus oil
- For coughs and colds (aroma medallion, in oil burners, bath, and rubbed directly into skin)
- Externally for muscular pain, neuralgia and rheumatism (bath, massage, rubbing with a little of vegetable oil into skin);
- Good expectorant during colds. Oil of Niaouli is used as a vermifugal
- Stimulates the intellect and improves memory
Recommendations for Use:
Topical application – massage, inhalation (direct inhalation and steam inhalation), oil burner, bath
Aromamassage: mix 4-6 drops with about 15 ml of carrier oil. Blending is recommended.
Direct (cold) inhalation: Place 1-2 drops on Austraroma aromastone, aromamedallion, or your handkerchief.
Steam inhalation: pour 2-3 drops to the cup of hot water and breathe the vapors. Duration: 5-7 min. Avoid contact of steam with eyes (keep your eyes closed).
Oil burner: mix 4 - 6 drops of oil with water. Blending is recommended.
Aroma Bath: blend 5 - 7 drops with about 10 ml of a neutral base, like bubble bath or shampoo. Then add to bath water. Blending with other essential oils is recommended.
