AUSTRALIAN BLUE CYPRESS, 12ml
(Callitris Intratropica)
This is a unique Australian product, an high density essence, obtained from the wood of Callitris intratropica, and named “Australian Blue Cypress Oil” because of beautiful cobalt blue colour.’23 The oil has a subtle woody aroma with a warm base note and smoky undertones. When applied directly on skin, it penetrates skin quickly and may create a sensation of in-depth warming.
Anecdotal First Aid reports
Anecdotal First Aid reports resulting from an informal trial by volunteers show a remarkable range of effective applications. This oil has been used in pure form, applied directly on skin with no evidences of skin irritation, diluted in vegetable oil and blended with other essential oils.
Antiviral uses include warts, with undiluted Blue Cypress Oil applied at random intervals (approximately five to six times) over a five day period resulted in the warts disappearing. And for cold sores, an application of undiluted Blue Cypress Oil gave immediate relief, helping to prevent drying and cracking.
A 47-year old man with a severe burn to his left middle finger from a welding rod applied undiluted Blue Cypress Oil to the burn and kept on working. The pain reduced within a few minutes. He finished the job, washed his hands, reapplied the oil but didn't cover the wound -he said later that the burn healed much faster than they usually do!
A woman and daughter were both affected with atopic eczema in the same upper arm area. They used soap containing .75% Blue Cypress Oil and, within five days, the eczema disappeared from both women. It has not reappeared after 15 months. Blue Cypress may be used by its own and blends well with other Australian essential oils, such as Tasmanian Lavender, E Blue Mallee, Lemon-Scented Tea Tree, or Rosalina oil, etc, also working as fixative in blends.

CONSTITUENTS AND PROPERTIES:
Callitris intratropica contains cuainenes, selinenes, eudesmols, and other components. Some similarities found with well-known German Blue Chamomile. The magnificent blue colour comes from guaiazulene that is strong anti-inflamatory substance. Oil has a subtle woody aroma, similar to Vetiver Oil and Cedarwood Oil, with warm woody base note with smoky undertones. This aroma makes it ideal for a variety of cosmetic and perfume products. Unlike most essential oils, Blue Cypress is a heavy oil with density is slightly higher than water, it is not easily evaporate.
The oil is very expensive due to many reasons: the production of Blue Cypress oil is costly in comparison to other essential oils – distillation operates at low pressure and usually takes 30 hours.
